She has spoken of painting landscapes as a means of seeking out a place where she can rest from chaos.
‘I am creating an alternative place to wander and rest - to find a sense of peace, I suppost. These spaces are often imagined places but are also influenced by the landscapes that surround me - the rolling hills and flowing rivers and mountain paths that run through the valleys of Wales, my home.’ (Joanne Headington)
