Paintings of landscape, memory and relationship.

I am an expressionist painter working in oils and mixed media, exploring the painterly expression of my everyday life in nature and at home.

“I read recently that artists paint their desires. That they paint where they are right now, in the present. That resonated deeply with me as I reviewed the archive of my work. Colour is such a powerful subject in painting. It can convey passion, joy, sensuality, love, but it can also express grief, sorrow, and decay. As an expressionist painter, I use vivid colours in my landscapes to express the emotions associated with my experience of being in nature; lately, I have found that plants and flowers are the perfect metaphorical subject to  explore the complexities of human relationships.”
