Loved 2026

A Welsh Landscape, 2026

“I read recently that artists paint their desires. That they paint where they are right now, in the present. That resonated deeply with me as I reviewed the archive of my work. Colour is such a powerful subject in painting. It can convey passion, joy, sensuality, love, but it can also express grief, sorrow, and decay. As an expressionist painter, I use vivid colours in my landscapes to express the emotions associated with my experience of being in nature; lately, I have found that plants and flowers are the perfect metaphorical subject to  explore the complexities of human relationships.”
